BBSI Ladies Workshop 2021

August 2-14, 2021

Dancers will have the option to attend both weeks, or choose one of the two weeks to attend.  A tuition discount is offered to students who attend for both weeks.

Ladies must be age 12-18 in an intermediate to advanced ballet level with a minimum of two years en pointe. An in-person or video audition is required for the BBSI Ladies Workshop.  Class size is very limited. There will be a wait list.

BBSI 2021 PROTOCOL & ACTION PLAN

Until further notice, BBSI will proceed with detailed health and safety protocols. Masks will be worn for the duration of the program and social distancing will be maintained. BBSI will adhere to all federal and/or North Carolina state mandates in place during our 2021 program.

At this time, we will not offer Partnering at BBSI 2021. If federal and/or North Carolina state mandates allow us to offer Partnering, we will inform our families. Ladies will still have the opportunity to take class with the BBSI faculty.

VIDEO AUDITION

Video audition requirements:

All combinations should be done en pointe in the center.

  • Adage combination
  • Échappé and Passé pointe work combination
  • Turning combination
  • Grand Allegro combination

Note: We keep will video applications open until we reach maximum capacity.

IN-PERSON AUDITION

The BBSI 2021 Partnering Workshop is exclusively offering virtual audition options this year.

  • Ladies Technique
  • Ladies Variations
  • Ladies ZOOM Stretch/Acting/Informational Seminar (TBD)
  • Partnering with the Men (TBD)

IN-PERSON TUITION

Week One or Week Two: $350.00

Week One and Two: $625.00

There is an additional $25.00 registration fee and a $25.00 health fee.

Tuition, registration fees, health fees, audition fees, and merchandise purchases are non-refundable.

Boys Ballet Summer Intensive is a proud Partner Intensive at the American Dance Competition International Ballet Competition. We exclusively offer scholarships to BBSI at this competition. Financial aid is not available.

ZOOM TUITION

To best accommodate all our BBSI families, we will also host the program live on Zoom.

Zoom tuition:
$250.00 per week

There is an additional $25.00 registration fee.

DRESS CODE

  • Black spaghetti strap leotard (cotton or microfiber, no tank leotards)
  • Pink tights
  • Ballet flat shoes
  • Pointe shoes (to be worn for center, Partnering, and Variations, NO DEAD SHOES)
  • No shorts, large hair accessories, or large earrings. (Skirts are allowed only in Variations)

INJURY WITHDRAWAL POLICY

Refunds due to injuries are offered on a case-by-case basis. A doctor’s note is required for consideration.

In terms of an injury withdrawal, 25% of all tuition payments (in-person or Zoom) is nonrefundable.

After June 1st, there are no injury refunds.
