Waiver: Parent/guardian waives any and all claims against Boys Ballet Summer Intensive (BBSI), its affiliates, including International Ballet Academy (IBA), and/or its staff for any liability including but not limited to personal/bodily injury, student property loss or damage occurring during an audition, class, rehearsal, performance, or activity sponsored by BBSI and its affiliates. Student participation in BBSI programs and/or events is voluntary and the parent/guardian acknowledges the risks of potential injury associated with the physical demands of dance training. Dance education requires hands on instruction as well as verbal instruction. Instructors will regularly correct students by touching their arms, legs, feet, backs, and head to move them into the correct position.
Non-Discrimination/Non-Harassment Policy: Boys Ballet Summer Intensive and its affiliates are dedicated to treatment of all persons with respect and dignity and to providing an environment that is free from any form of discrimination or harassment. BBSI and its affiliates prohibit and will not tolerate any kind of harassment of any persons, including teachers, staff, students, parents, and any other person affiliated with BBSI and its affiliates. This prohibition includes harassment for any discriminatory reason, such as race, national origin, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or religion. A person who believes themselves to be a victim of discrimination or harassment should report the incident to one of the BBSI Directors: Kim Frenette, Christina Fannéy, or Emma Frenette. The matter will be dealt with on a confidential basis with disclosure only to the extent necessary for fair problem resolution and only to those who have an immediate need to know. There is a zero-tolerance policy regarding bullying or harassment; students will be expelled from the program with no refund if it is discovered that harassment or bullying of any kind has taken place.
Video/Photo Release: Parent/guardian grants BBSI and its affiliates the unlimited right to use and/or reproduce photographs/videos of their dancer for the promotional use of BBSI and its affiliates. Parent/guardian waives any and all present or future compensation rights related these photographs/videos.
