Each year, we award an exemplary young man with our BBSI Honorable Distinction Award. On the last day of the second week of our program, we award one male dancer with a full tuition scholarship to the following BBSI and a commemorative framed certificate.
We choose this dancer based on work ethic, sense of camaraderie, leadership, respect, potential to have a professional ballet career, and commitment to the program.
Jett Lecamu – Inaugural 2021 Honorable Distinction Award Winner. Jett trained at UNCSA, and is soon joining English National Ballet School.
Benjamin Piner – 2022 Honorable Distinction Award Winner. Benjamin trained at International Ballet Academy and now dances for Richmond Ballet.
Preston Walker – 2023 Honorable Distinction Award Winner. Preston Walker currently dances at Dance Academy of Southern California.
