Honorable Distinction Award
Each year, we award an exemplary young man with our BBSI Honorable Distinction Award. On the last day of our program, we award a male dancer with a full tuition scholarship to the following BBSI and a commemorative framed certificate.
We choose this dancer based on work ethic, sense of camaraderie, leadership, respect, potential to have a professional ballet career, and commitment to the program.
2022: Benjamin Piner – Benjamin trained at International Ballet Academy and danced for Richmond Ballet as a Trainee before joining Ballet Arkansas
2023: Preston Walker – Preston trained at Dance Academy of Southern California before joining Joffrey Ballet’s Studio Company
2024: Rafe King – Rafe trained at Orlando Ballet School and San Francisco Ballet School before joining Ballet West as a Trainee
2024: Liam Geoffroy – Liam trains at Houston Ballet Academy
2025: Orlando Barragán – Orlando trains at The American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School
2025: Denny Teolis – Denny trains at The Ballet West Academy
